| Abstract | This study aimed to perform the analysis of dynamics of use and occupation of a portion of the catchment area of the Mangrove Park, located in the neighborhood of Boa Viagem, Recife-PE, in the interval between the 1980 and 2010. The work consisted of analysis photointerprets of a pair of aerial photographs produced in 1980, and its comparison with the current state of the area, using as auxiliary resources for target identification, and field surveys, maps and images satellite. With the work it was possible to identify the changes in the study area, particularly with regard to the main road network, hydrographic network, the vegetated areas, the areas of human occupation and stratification of the buildings. The photo interpretation proved a practical and efficient tool for analyzing spatial-temporal choice. |
