AbstractThe representations of land, much used in mapping, can be performed in different ways, taking into account the objective that you want to achieve. Among the various applicability of these representations we can highlight the classification of the vertical curvature of the aspects that differentiate the dimensions of a particular ground between rectilinear, concave and convex from their representation contributes to the production of information relevant to decision-making in areas as agriculture, construction, real estate, study of microbasins among others. The existing algorithms able to classify these forms of relief have clear needs for improvement, because only classify areas already established. In order to better exploit this feature of relief was developed an implementation able to generate Numerical Models of Terrain (NTM) in any area that has planoaltimétricos data, using a mathematical tool Thin Plate Spline interpolation method as well as calculate the values of curvature in profile to all points of NTM, and classify them according to the limits obtained for each class via Fuzzy Inference presenting as a natural way not because of rigidity of such limits in nature.
