| Abstract | Aiming to get a digital database with detailed information on the use and occupation of the area around the dam Ayres de Souza and to support activities of planning and spatial planning, the National Department of Works Against Droughts - DNOCS, concerned with current status of the edge areas of public reservoirs in the state of Ceara, signed an agreement with the Foundation of Ceará Water Resources and Meteorology - Funceme, to establish the mapping at scale 1:10,000, with detailed information on the current situation of occupation of surrounding areas this reservoir. The data generated were obtained by applying geo, using images from the Quickbird satellite. After the removal of existing information, interpretation of satellite images with high resolution and field work was organized a database in a Geographic Information System - GIS, for use by the actions DNOCS revitalization of areas around the said reservoir. |
