Abstract | The airline transmission project comprises a series of complex spatial and temporal restrictions which should be taken into account simultaneously. The manual choice of a corridor for these airlines does not provide objective, quantitative and exhaustive information that the intelligent computational analysis can provide. Based in this, the purpose of this paper was the development of a system which can obtain the optimal corridors for the definition of transmission lines routes. Moreover, this system allows us to do comparisons between the relative costs of different solutions, being a certain restriction more or less important, transforming itself in an important tool for the decision-making in the planning, operation and maintenance sectors of electric energy companies. After conclusion and digital processing of the thematic maps which must be considered in the determination of an optimum corridor of the transmission lines, the overlap of the maps in raster representation was done, which provided a compound map that integrates information from each map. Finally, an optimization algorithm was applied to this result, which determined the optimum corridor between the initial and the final point of the line, minimizing the compound cost. |
