| Abstract | Agroforestry systems (SAF´s) were adopted in some regions of Amazon, mainly in State of Acre, as an alternative to minimize the deforestation process in the region and to revert the rural exodus. Defined by agropastoril cooperatives and forest component, the SAF Custódio Freire located in the municipality of Rio Branco, presents very damnified. Through a series of Landsat TM and ETM+ in a period of five years, it was possible to analyze the changes that occurred in the SAF, mainly in the deforested area that corresponded to 42ha (83%) of the area. Based on trips to the ground, it was detected a medium degradation level. The landscape dynamic was analyzed based on Markov Chain, which shows differences from the image photointerpretation, since the rate of changes are not continuous. Despite of the imprecision, the model was useful in providing future information from the SAF, that is, its complete damnification would occur in 2009. In conclusion, it is necessary to develop mechanisms to minimize the environment impacts in the SAF, as well as to realize the agroforestry system, looking for economic alternatives and technologies suitable to the local reality. | |||
