Abstract | A brief history is presented along with a summary on a teaching methodology named Project and Problem-Based Learning - PPBL, which has as a principle the student playing an active role in building his/her own learning. The work or project is developed in small groups, collectively, and learning should occur during the resolution of a problem or during a proposed project. The PPBL is an alternative to traditional teaching, which is outdated and in which the teacher/professor is the one to play an active and knowledgeable role before the class in which, he/she generally speaks and the students practically only listen, as they have low participation. A proposal is presented on how to use this teaching methodology (PPBL) to teach Remote Sensing in an interdisciplinary way with disciplines in the area of Spacial Information, such as Geographic Information Systems, Global Positioning Systems, Cartography, etc. The proposal is restricted to an undergraduate course context containing an associated Spacial Information area. A summarized proposal on how to organize different day-to-day activities is presented, along with a course design proposal, development of actions and assessment. |
