| Abstract | This work has as objective the characterization of landscape units of the Maranhão Island/MA, and its dynamic between the years of 1984 and 2001. In this study TM (Landsat-5) images with path/row 220/062 were processed, analyzed and interpreted using the program SPRING 4.1. From the results charts of landscape units will be obtained, which will allow to analyze the dynamic of the years considered in relation to vegetation cover changes, and use and soil use. |
