AIMS AND SCOPE

The Brazilian Symposium on Remote Sensing (SBSR) is a biennial event organized by the National Institute for Space Research (INPE) since 1978 with the objective of bringing together the technical-scientific community, businesses, and users in the field of Remote Sensing, Geoinformatics, and related applications. The SBSR provides a platform for presenting research and engaging in discussions on technological development, education, and scientific policies both within Brazil and globally.

The Symposium covers 40 thematic areas in each edition, reflecting the current state of the art and recent advancements in the field. It plays a significant role in Brazil by attracting a diverse range of participants, including researchers, students, and practitioners, thus fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange within this domain.

The copyright of articles published in the Proceedings of the SBSR is retained by the individual authors. All articles are licensed under the Creative Commons CC-BY-NC license - Attribution and use Non Commercial. This means that readers are free to share and adapt the content of the articles, provided they give credit to the original authors and not use it for commercial purpose.

All articles published in the Proceedings of the Symposium receive an Internet-based identifier (IBI) ensuring persistent access to the publications.
