AIMS AND SCOPE

The Brazilian Symposium on Remote Sensing (SBSR) is a biennial event organized by the National Institute for Space Research (INPE) since 1978 with the objective of bringing together the technical-scientific community, businesses, and users in the field of Remote Sensing, Geoinformatics, and related applications. The SBSR provides a platform for presenting research and engaging in discussions on technological development, education, and scientific policies both within Brazil and globally.

The Symposium covers 40 thematic areas in each edition, reflecting the current state of the art and recent advancements in the field. It plays a significant role in Brazil by attracting a diverse range of participants, including researchers, students, and practitioners, thus fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange within this domain.
